If Israel and Jordan are the Holy Land, Turkey and Greece are Christianity's motherland. It's here, along Mediterranean shores and mountain passes, that the early church took root and grew, carried by missionaries like Paul, Silas, Timothy, Priscilla, and Aquila into the heart of the Roman world.

This trip retraces the gospel's leap from Asia into Europe. Leaving the trappings of being considered a Jewish sect to becoming a whole new way: The Way. We follow Paul's own routes: his vision calling him to Macedonia, his message to a merchant of purple cloth beside a river, his defense before philosophers on Mars Hill, his months of tentmaking and teaching in a bustling port city. Along the way we walk through Ephesus, Corinth, Philippi, Berea, and Athens—cities Paul knew by name, cities that received his letters.
